senseFly selects Gap Wireless to expand Canadian inspection reach
senseFly has selected Gap Wireless, a leading distributor of products and services for the mobile broadband and wireless markets, as a Canadian distributor of its intelligent mapping and inspection drone, albris.
Gap Wireless recently added UAV Solutions to its extensive product portfolio, supplying businesses with drones and UAV software for commercial applications as well as supporting their regulatory and insurance needs. Under the new agreement, senseFly’s sensor-rich close mapping and inspection drone, the albris, will be distributed across Canada by Gap Wireless to contractors, carriers and others requiring commercial-grade UAV solutions.
“We’re pleased to become a vendor partner of Gap Wireless, which will distribute our professional albris platform into Canada’s wireless infrastructure space,” said Jean-Christophe Zufferey, the CEO of senseFly. “Working with Gap Wireless enables us to deepen our involvement in this market in the best way possible, partnering with a trusted distributor, offering established customer relationships.”
Gap Wireless is the Gold Sponsor of the Canadian Wireless Trade Show taking place in Toronto, Ontario October 26-27, and the company will showcase the senseFly albris in its drone demonstration area at the show. The Canadian Wireless Trade Show is a key B2B event for the Canadian wireless and telecommunications industry, attracting retailers, dealers, manufacturers, and distributors.
The albris was designed from the ground up to perform close inspections of wireless towers, bridges, buildings, and other structures with the goal of collecting high-resolution imagery and video. The UAV’s fully stabilized TripleView camera head allows the operator to capture high-resolution still images on demand and also switch between HD and thermal video imagery live during flight. The position of the TripleView camera allows for a 180 degree vertical range of motion, meaning the drone can capture imagery directly above and below the albris, making it ideal for inspecting wireless towers.
